Another Year

Today’s dragon is a birthday dragon!

Funny to think about death on one’s birthday, but mortality is a fact of life.

However, the ancient Egyptians had a beautiful belief about death.

When their souls got to the entrance to heaven, the guards asked two questions.

The answers determined whether the person was able to enter or not.

‘Have you found joy in your life?’

‘Has your life brought joy to others?’

To give joy is to receive joy.

Today is a reminder to me to look at those things that have brought me joy over the past year.  Knowing that to have received so much joy that I have given joy.

It has been a wonderful year, and I look forward to the year to come.  The year of the dragon is such a powerful year!

I enjoy the posts on your blog. Today, I noticed a picture that I’d love to use next week if you don’t mind sharing it. I love your picture of the purple dragon blowing out the candle on a cupcake it’s holding with its tail! May I borrow it to adorn an email message I’m sending out to my patients next week to announce my acupuncture clinic’s 4th birthday? I opened my practice on May 1, 2011. We’re giving free acupuncture treatments this May 1 in celebration of the clinic’s birthday. The name of my little clinic is Purple Dragon Community Acupuncture. Your dragon picture is perfect! I would credit you or whoever is the artist who created the picture.
